Lobos are one game away from perfection

Eighth-grader Chaz Taylor ran for two touchdowns and threw for another to propel Cottonwood Middle School to a 30-0 halftime lead en route to a 38-14 home win Tuesday, Oct. 14, over Tempe Preparatory Academy.

The Lobos [7-0] can achieve their second undefeated season in three years with a win Saturday, Oct. 18, over Pusch Ridge Christian Academy of Tucson at 1 p.m.

“I think Saturday will be our toughest game of the year,” head coach Mark Simmons said. “Pusch Ridge is going to look better than these guys.”
