The Camp Verde Town Council is considering changes to its animal code in an attempt to crack down on issues with dogs and cats.

No decisions have been set in stone.

The council discussed possible additions to the code at a work session May 14.

Some members of the public in attendance expressed concern over tighter leash laws, arguing that it would punish those people who have spent the time training their dogs to be well-behaved, even when off the leash.
