After hosting the Youth Skills Clinics Saturday Series for children 8 and under earlier in the summer, the Town of Camp Verde Parks and Recreation is bringing it back for older kids.

These clinics will be for children ages 9 to 12. They will begin on Saturday, Aug. 29 and will run on alternate Saturdays through the end of September.

Things will get underway this coming Saturday with basketball.

Two weeks later on Sept. 12 will be volleyball, and Sept. 26 will be pickleball.

These clinics, too, will be led by Lori Webb, the Recreation Leader for the Town of Camp Verde Parks and Recreation. Webb has experience coaching all sports from her prior career as a physical education teacher.

To accommodate social distancing, the clinics are limited to no more than 10 kids. They will run from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and will be held in the Community Gym. Those participating should wear tennis shoes and bring a water bottle. They should also wear a mask when not actively participating in drills.

Each clinic costs $5.

Sign-ups are done virtually. Participants can sign up at either Campverde.sportsites.com/player or by clicking the “Book Now” button at Facebook.com/cvparksandrec and following the steps.
