Camp Verde basketball players got the chance to work with a skill development and conditioning basketball professional, all thanks to Twitter.
Chris Hyppa, a former semi-professional basketball player now turned elite skills trainer from Washington, spent a couple hours in the Camp Verde High School gym on Feb. 18, working with 20 Camp Verde basketball players after the boys varsity basketball Assistant Head Coach Jordan Lewis connected with Hyppa over the social media network Twitter.
“Chris had posted a YouTube video of him working out with a [Women’s National Basketball Association] player, and I saw that he does training camps for high school basketball teams, so I retweeted the video with my email,” Lewis said. “Chris sent a couple more of his videos to me and I said, ‘I have to get you out here.’”
