Camp Verde fast food restaurant robbed at gunpoint

They weren’t looking for breakfast. Two men walked into the Wendy’s fast food restaurant at the Interstate 17 and State Route 260 interchange in Camp Verde around 7 a.m. Saturday, April 10, and demanded money from the employees working the morning shift.

According to reports from the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office, the two men were masked and held the workers at gunpoint.

They escaped with a little over $500 in small bills, all $1s and $5s.

Both suspects were white, according to employee accounts of the incident.

CVMO spokesperson Darby Martin said that the entire incident happened very quickly.

“They were in and out like that,” Martin said.

The robbery was captured by a security camera, but Martin said that the footage hadn’t yet been released pending the ongoing investigation.

There was no information immediately available about any vehicle the suspects may have used to escape.

Martin said that investigators are actively following up leads to try and catch the robbers.

Anyone with any information about this robbery is asked to called the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office at 567-6621.
