Helping children conserve water

Published:

The Verde Natural Resource Conservation District is hoping that the Town of Camp Verde will provide some funding for a water conservation program aimed at kids.

Lynda Zanolli, a teacher who works with the district and directs its education center, said that the same program is already implemented in Cottonwood and Clarkdale.

“We’d like to see it here in Camp Verde, too, hopefully,” Zanolli said.

The program is aimed at school children in kindergarten through fourth grade.

Zanolli said the program was asking for just under $7,600 to help pay for two years of materials for the children to use.
