Cottonwood Parks & Rec hosts Easter Eggstravaganza on April 8

The city of Cottonwood Parks & Recreation would like to invite the public to the annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 8, at Riverfront Park.

This free, family-friendly event is a community favorite each year and we hope you will join us when the fun begins at 10 a.m. This year’s event will feature a new layout as the egg hunt will be set up at the softball fields.

Riverfront Park has been closed recently due to the heavy rains:

Flood waters and mud inundate Riverfront Park in Cottonwood on Thursday, ‎March ‎16. The city closed the park after the storm due to the flood damage. The annual Easter Eggstravaganza takes place on the baseball diamonds on Saturday, April 8.

The Parks & Recreation Department did not send out details in time to make it to the print edition of the April 5 Cottonwood Journal Extra.

The Parks & Recreation Department will be operating on a holiday hours schedule on Sunday, April 9 in observance of Easter. This will allow our staff to spend more time at home with their families during the holiday. The facilities will be operating during the following schedule on Easter:

  • Fitness Center: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Indoor Pool: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Group Exercise Classes are canceled

He is a nationally-recognized slam poet who has written and performed multiple poems about Pluto and other space themes."
