Young Marauders grow taller and deeper for next season

Guard Angelyna Razo was the primary offensive threat for the Mingus Union High School girls team this season, hitting five three-point shots in the face of a box-and-one defense Feb. 6 in a 46-41 loss to Sedona Red Rock High School. Head coach Dave Moncibaez will look to his freshman class to help replace her three-point shooting ability.

Both boys head coach David Beery and girls head coach Dave Moncibaez will be looking forward to being able to actually coach a 6-footer in the post after going without this season.

But depth, particularly tall depth, remains an issue for both programs going into Beery’s second season after a 14-11 first year at MUHS.
