He was preceded in death by his father Robert Lucas.
He is survived by his wife Jessamine Lucas; stepson Jacob Fox of Gardenville; stepdaughter Mary Jane of Gardenville; brothers Robert Lucas of Montana, Richard Lucas of Arizona and David Lucas of Montana; sisters Jerri Cunningham of Montana and Bonnie Lucas of Phoenix and his mother Joyce Van Dunk of Phoenix.
