The Camp Verde Town Council is looking at possibly revising its rules regarding its noise ordinance in order to make what constitutes a violation more clear.

“Someone shouting from the rooftops can make as much noise as anybody else,” said Russ Martin, Camp Verde town manager.

The current rules governing noise are somewhat vague, Martin said.

There were issues years ago concerning noise from a local sand and gravel operation, Martin said. The town had a study done, but rules remain unclear.

Martin cited a recent noise complaint that was taken to court and rejected before it even came before a judge.
