The Camp Verde Planning and Zoning Commission has been working on adopting “character areas” for the town, places where planning is considered based on a particular area’s identity and feel.

Such places include areas like the Pecan Lane area along Montezuma Castle Highway, the State Route 260 corridor, Finnie Flat Road, Middle Verde and the area along Quarterhorse Lane.

A subcommittee made of local residents has been meeting to help discuss the vision behind these character areas and other possible development in Camp Verde.
