Two banks robbed in a week

The Cottonwood Police Department is searching for a man who robbed a Cottonwood bank Tuesday, Feb. 11, who may also have robbed a Camp Verde bank on Feb. 4.

CPD officers arrived at the Cottonwood branch of Bank of America, 611 S. Main St. after a robbery alarm was activated at 9:35 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

CPD Detective Del Munday said the robbery involved a male, thought to be in his mid-50s with graying hair, mustache, sunglasses and a dark colored hoodie possibly pulled over a hat. The suspect is believed to be approximately 190 pounds and was wearing gloves during the course of the incident. No weapons were mentioned or displayed.
