Results are in for co-ed volleyball

Published:

Camp Verde Parks and Recreation has announced the results of its fall co-ed Volleyball season.

After eight weeks of play the seven teams finished their season with a playoff series Nov. 20.

The number one ranked team, All About That Ace, won in the single elimination tournament to come out on top against number three ranked Pink Panthers. Pink Panthers defeated the number two ranked Itsy Bitsy Spikers to make it to the Championship.

Crystal Drake continued to volunteer for Parks and Recreation in order to organize and build this league. The department purchased new volleyballs and a new net this year to support the program as well as provided a referee.

With this continued success, Parks and Recreation is looking forward to expanding the program by adding new teams.

This year, one team was added. The department is also looking for an additional referee.

Registration is now open for the winter season, which starts Sunday, Jan. 22. For more information or suggestions, contact Shawna Figy, Parks and Recreation, at 554-0829.
