Town asks Nature Conservancy to buy & preserve farm

Published:

The town of Camp Verde is sending a letter to The Nature Conservancy asking the group to consider purchasing 135 acres of land owned by the Spur Land and Cattle Company, or more commonly known as Hauser & Hauser Farm.

The goal is to ensure that the land maintains its historic agricultural character long into the future.

The town of Camp Verde’s 1998 and 2004 general plans specifically set forward a goal to preserve the remaining agricultural areas in town as a means of keeping a certain character.
