New Year’s resolutions? Sure, not a problem

It’s that time of year again — 2013 looms only a few days away with its promise of renewal and new beginnings.

For many people it’s a time to think about making New Year’s resolutions that, hopefully, will change their lives for the better. Too often people look at their resolutions with the best of intentions and zeal but fail at them within a few weeks. Often the failure is due to lack of focus, the goal being too big, or it is seen as something negative — a burden they must endure. But making New Year’s resolutions doesn’t have to be that way, according to a local resolution expert.

Deb Darby has set New Year’s resolutions goals for more than 25 years and succeeds at least 80 percent of the time. In fact, a few years ago, Darby was named “The Resolutions Queen” in Woman’s Day magazine.
