Elm Street in Cottonwood closed for construction

Elm Street in Cottonwood will be temporarily closed for construction. 

The city of Cottonwood, along with Joe Mulcaire Contracting LLC, will be temporarily closing Elm Street between 12th Street and 16th Street. Work is currently scheduled to commence Tuesday, June 1, according to a news release from the city of Cottonwood. Local and emergency traffic only will be permitted to use the closed area. 

The work will consist of digging a trench and installing a waterline along Elm Street. Joe Mulcaire Contracting will be performing a gas line installation along the same path.

Construction will take place June 1-3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Work is expected to last through Thursday.

“If you are within the active work zone, we ask you to follow signs and directions of the workers,” according to the news release.
