Camp Verde provides flood recovery resources, business help, damage assessments

The Town of Camp Verde continues to support residents and businesses affected by recent flooding through coordinated recovery efforts.

To help residents access timely information, the town’s Development Services Department has launched a dedicated Flood Recovery page at campverde.az.gov. The page serves as a central hub for recovery resources, updates and assistance information, complementing information shared through the town’s official Facebook channels. Staff will continue updating the page as additional resources and recovery programs become available.

Supporting Local Businesses

The town’s Economic Development team is actively reaching out to businesses impacted by the flooding to assess operating status, document damages and identify immediate recovery needs. Staff is also coordinating with regional and state economic development partners to explore potential state and federal assistance programs and better understand available pathways for financial support.

In the coming weeks, the town plans to host an Economic Development Forum focused on business recovery. The forum will provide an opportunity for business owners to discuss challenges, learn about available resources and help shape recovery strategies for the local business community. Information gathered through business outreach and partner coordination will help guide these discussions and make recommendations for the next steps.

Flood Damage Inspections

As floodwaters recede and conditions allow safe access, town inspectors will begin visiting flood-affected areas over the coming days to assess and document damage.

Inspectors will evaluate impacted structures, record visible damage and gather information needed to better understand the overall effects of the flooding throughout the community.

These inspections are critical for several reasons:

  • Identifying potential safety concerns and structural damage that may require further evaluation.
  • Documenting community-wide impacts to support recovery planning.
  • Assisting property owners by establishing records that may help support insurance claims.
  • Supporting the town’s compliance with Federal Emergency Management Agency and National Flood Insurance Program requirements related to flood damage assessments.
  • Determining whether additional review may be necessary before repairs or reconstruction can proceed on certain properties.

Residents may see town staff throughout affected neighborhoods as access becomes available. Inspectors may photograph and document visible damage as part of the assessment process. The town emphasizes that these visits are intended to support recovery efforts, assess conditions and help ensure public safety.

“We appreciate the patience and cooperation of our residents as these recovery efforts move forward,” said Christian Green, Development Services Director. “Our priority is protecting public safety while helping our community recover as quickly and safely as possible.”

The town encourages residents and business owners to monitor official town communication channels for updates regarding recovery resources, assistance opportunities and inspection activities.
