John F. Kovy died on Feb. 2, days after celebrating his 95th birthday with his family. He was born in Bayonne, New Jersey, in 1931.
His wife, Mary Valazza, of Jerome, died in 2020. Kovy was also preceded in death by their son, William [Bill], and Kovy’s brothers, Bill and Tom.
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth [Betty] King, and son-in-law, Craig King, grandchildren Lauren and Scott King, and Kovy’s sister, Barbara Kellet.
His funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cottonwood.
