The Korean American Association of Northern Arizona will host the 13th annual Sedona Lunar New Year Festival on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 2 to 5 p.m. at 340 Jordan Road. The event is free and open to the public.

For 13 years, the festival has provided a consistent cultural event in Sedona, offering community members the chance to engage with Asian cultural traditions and participate in cross-cultural exchange. It continues to attract local residents and visitors, fostering community connection and cultural awareness in Northern Arizona.

The Lunar New Year is one of the most significant holidays across many Asian cultures. Traditionally, it is a time to reflect on the past year, honor family and ancestors, and welcome renewal and new beginnings.

This year’s festival celebrates the Year of the Red Fire Horse, a symbol of energy, courage, movement, and new momentum. In Asian traditions, the horse represents freedom and forward motion, while the fire element brings vitality and transformation.

Festival activities will include:

  • Asian cultural performances
  • Traditional Asian games
  • Calligraphy energy readings
  • A variety of vendors
  • Complimentary snacks for attendees

The festival is designed to offer attendees an accessible and educational cultural experience while supporting local performers, artists, and small businesses.
