Looking for a holiday event that truly captures the warmth and joy of the season? Camp Verde Parks and Recreation invites you to experience Christmas Magic on Main Street on Saturday, Dec. 13, in downtown Camp Verde. This family-friendly celebration has something for everyone, from visits with Santa and festive shopping to the dazzling Parade of Lights.
Start your holiday festivities with the Third Annual Breakfast with Santa, hosted by the Camp Verde Kiwanis Club. From 9 to 11 a.m. at the Community Kitchen [395 S. Main St.], Santa himself will be there to greet kids of all ages, making it a great photo op. Donations are accepted.
Beginning at 10 a.m. and running until 4 p.m., the Christmas Craft Bazaar is your chance to find unique holiday gifts from over 65 local vendors. Held at the Community Gym [51 E. Hollamon St.] and the surrounding outdoor area, this bazaar is a fantastic spot to support local artisans and find one-of-a-kind gifts for everyone on your list.
For those with a knack for creativity, the Third Annua l Gingerbr ead House Contest is the perfect opportunity to show off your skills. Drop off your homemade gingerbread creations on Friday, Dec. 12, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., or Saturday, Dec. 13, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the gym. Open to groups and individuals across three age categories —10 & under, 11 to 17 and adults 18+ — the contest will be judged by the public until 2 p.m. on Saturday, with winners announced at 3 p.m.
The magic continues into the evening with the Parade of Lights. Watch as festive floats and sparkling lights bring Main Street to life. The parade starts at 6 p.m., running from Ace Hardware to the Camp Verde Feed Store. Entry is still open and free for anyone interested in participating — just remember, your float needs to shine with lights.
