Sedona Red Rock High School  needs varsity swim coach to avoid season cancelation

The position does require background and fingerprint checks and includes a stipend of $3,598.56 for the season after receiving a 2% increase following approval by the Sedona-Oak Creek School District Governing Board during its July meeting.

“The time commitment is going to be in the afternoons. The pool availability is a little different from our other facilities,” Brock said. “For example, on Mondays, it’s hard to get into the pool because it’s a city facility. But typical practice times after August will be from about 3 to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, at least.”

Brock said the ideal candidate to have multiple years of personal swim experience — such as in high school or college. Additionally, the individual would need to have completed certain National Federation of State High School Associations requirements, though he emphasized that can be taken care of once the right person is selected for the role.

“You will love coaching here,” Cross Country Head Coach Cody McKesson wrote about coaching at SRRHS. “You get to know the athletes on a personal level due to the smaller field of athletes. You won’t meet athletes more hungry to work hard and do the work than the underdogs.”
