Randy Dean “R.D.” Schilling, 72 of Camp Verde, died Aug. 13.
Raised in a musical family, he was a guitar player and traveled the U.S., performing with his family. A U.S. Navy veteran, he enjoyed performing at the Veterans Affairs Hospital and the Arizona’s Pioneers home.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Schilling; son Forrest Schilling; brother Jeff Schilling; sister Becky Lewis; stepdaughters Christina Castro, Tina Calderon and Julie Arredondo, Jo Ann Castruita and Gloria Elenes; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and worked in corporate communications in insurance and health care for several years, handling marketing and public relations duties. A fur-mom to two cats and three dogs, she is semi-retired.
