Lorena May Walker
December 31, 1935 – December 16, 2021

Lorena May Walker, 85, of Cottonwood, died Dec. 16.

Born in Alliance, Neb., she received her LPN from Lincoln General Hospital School of Nursing and later completed her BSN from ASU.

After working as a nurse in Montana, she retired to Cottonwood and enjoyed her friends for 22 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Eileen Libsack.

She is survived by her sisters, Norma Thomsen and Louise Knapp; brother, Marvin Reid; daughter, Jaynie Mauger; son, John Walker; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Jo Page has worked at Larson newspapers as typesetter since 2010. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and worked in corporate communications in insurance and health care for several years, handling marketing and public relations duties. A fur-mom to two cats and three dogs, she is semi-retired.
