The Verde Valley Fire District responded to reports of a structure fire in the 2000 block of Highway 260 in Cottonwood Sunday evening.
The incident took place on May 23 just after 6:30 p.m.
Crews from the Verde Valley Fire District and Cottonwood Fire and Medical Department arrived on the scene to find a commercial building on fire, according to a press release. Crews quickly attacked the fire from the exterior of the building, then worked from the inside to keep the fire from spreading to the rest of the structure.
While the fire was brought under control, crews confirmed that the structure was clear of any occupants. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
The Verde Valley Fire District, Cottonwood Fire and Medical Department, Verde Valley Ambulance Company and the Cottonwood Police Department all responded to the scene.
