James E. Beard

James E. Beard, 79, of Clarkdale, died Dec. 24.
Born and raised in South Gate, Calif., he retired from the U.S. Navy after proudly serving for 28 years. He retired to Clarkdale in 2004.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandy; son James; and stepsons, Rich and Ryan.
A memorial celebration will take place after COVID-19 when gatherings can be safely conducted.
