What makes you qualified for a position on the town council?
I understand how our Camp Verde Town Council works. We have a council-manager form of government. I am a single voice out of seven. I work to understand every issue that is presented to our council as well as understand each subject that we are reviewing.
What makes Camp Verde great?
Many things. Our town and the valley in which we live is very unique. The people who live here are amazing. The scenery is unbeatable. Our climate lets us live in every season. Outdoor recreation is minutes away whether it is the mountains for hiking, biking, hunting, fishing or camping. The Verde River and Clear Creek provide many opportunities for enjoyment of their resources as well.
What do you bring to the council?
I am the youngest serving council member. I have served as a council member for the last seven years. I know that I represent everyone here in Camp Verde, but I feel my voice most reflects the younger demographic.
How will you help Camp Verde to recover from the coronavirus and resulting economic slump?
As a resident here in Camp Verde I try my best to support our local economy. While serving as a council member, I support the town budget. The Town of Camp Verde relies heavily on local sales tax to fund our budget. We have been in a financial position for a few years that has allowed us to continue to provide our community with full time town services. We have a very strong economy here, I will continue to support our projects and goals for the town only as we can afford it.
How do you hope to keep Camp Verde affordable to residents?
The town is still growing. We are currently seeing more and more investments into our local housing infrastructure as well as new employment opportunities. I will continue to support the opportunities for growth and economic development for our community. I look forward to great things happening in our town.
