Richard Wingfield Sturges, 83, of Camp Verde died Aug. 30.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin Sturges and Vera Wingfield Sturges.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn Sturges of Camp Verde and sister Lynne Logan of Mesa.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Camp Verde VFW, 277 W. SR 260, Camp Verde. Donations in his name are suggested to the Verde Valley Humane Society.
