Charles Barrett, 55, of Cornville, died July 14.
Very active in the LGBT community in Sedona and the Verde Valley, he was the unofficial ambassador to visitors and new arrivals to the area.
He was preceded in death by his sister Samantha and his mother Virginia. He is survived by his father, Charles “Chuck” Barrett Sr.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, Aug. 16, at The Old Town Red Rooster in Cottonwood from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
