Nika Kohn Fleissig, 98, of Sedona, died Jan. 2, 2019.

Born Bronislawa Felicia Kohn in Krakow, Poland, on May 27, 1920, she survived the Holocaust, and emigrated to the United States in 1946, where she became an author and artist.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Fleissig, and is survived by her daughter, Rabbi Alicia Magal [Ike]; son William Kohn Fleissig [Wendy Kohn]; grandchildren Tali Magal [Craig Fleishman], Amir Fleissig Magal, Ariel Fleissig Kohn, Mia Rose Fleissig Kohn, David Ferrell, and twin great-grandchildren, Amalia and Gabriella Magal Fleishman.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Jewish Community of Sedona and the Verde Valley on Sunday, Jan. 20, at 1 p.m.
