At halftime, Glendale Prep led Camp Verde 14-6.

Petty also scored on the two-point conversion and the Cowboys tied the game at 14 with 8:18 remaining in the game.

Glendale Prep fumbled on the next possession, setting up Camp Verde with possession in Griffin’s territory.

“Cale has had big games for us all year and our offense took advantage of where Glendale Prep’s defensive players were aligned,” Walsworth said. “ We started out in the double-tight formation instead of single-tight and I think Glendale Prep had to adjust.”
