Copper Canyon fire crews respond to semi-truck rollover in Camp Verde

The Copper Canyon Fire and Medical Authority was dispatched to a semi-truck rollover at the intersection of State Route 260 and Horseshoe Bend, east of Interstate 17 in Camp Verde at 6:42 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1.

semitruck rollover fullUpon arrival crews found a semi-truck with a tanker trailer on its side carrying approximately 6,800 gallons of used motor oil.

The driver self-extricated and was uninjured.

Crews found a leak from the diesel fuel tank and one of the oil compartment doors. Both leaks were mitigated by the CCFMA engine crew, scene was turned over to the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office.
