Duane “Smiley” Wyatt, 93, of Cottonwood, died July 1.

Born in Flagstaff, he attended Flagstaff Elementary School and Flagstaff High School. He worked for the U.S. Forest Service for 38 years and was a contracting officer for Region 3.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary, of Cottonwood; son-in-law Grant Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m.
