Camp Verde Maverik robbed at knife point

Armed suspects robbed Camp Verde’s Maverik convenience store at 541 W. Finnie Flat Road, Friday, July 29, at approximately 12:02 a.m.

According to Camp Verde Marshal’s Office Cmdr. Jacquelyn MacConnell, “Three subjects entered the store with white shirts wrapped around their heads, two of whom had knives. After threatening the store clerk, the suspects made off with over $150.”

The suspects have been described as “possibly white and/or Hispanic, in their late teens or early twenties and possibly left in a Jeep Cherokee-style SUV.”

Just after noon, July 29, Maverik Store Manager Leann Russell said she could offer no further information, and referred requests to CVMO.

Approached for further comment, MacConnell said that she had released all available information to the press. She apologized for the quality of the photos, saying of the suspects, “They were smart enough to cover up whatever they could.”

CVMO is requesting any information regarding who the alleged robbers might be.
