Teens Live comes to library

Published:

Anyone who doubts the current generation’s commitment to civic engagement should take a look at what Camp Verde Community Library’s teenagers are doing.

The Camp Verde Community Library Teen Advisory Board is an active presence on social media, maintaining a blog and a community page on Facebook. There you will find local teens showing their investment to social issues and community building. Coming Saturday, April 2, TAB members will be reopening the Teens Live event in conjunction with library staff, matching their online dedication with in-person advocacy.

Camp Verde Community Library Director Kathy D. Hellman praised their efforts, stating, “After a four-month hiatus, we are ready to get Teens Live open at the library again …. From 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., teens are invited to hang out at the library and meet our new Teens Live staff.

“Get to know other teens in a safe, fun environment. Share a meal together, climb walls and break down barriers. Plans are in the works for movies, games, karaoke, open mic, improv and much more. Be part of the plans. Bring ideas for programs and activities you enjoy and get them on the calendar.”

Ongoing, Teens Live 2.0 will meet the first and second Saturday of every month with the possibility of special programming in addition.

Camp Verde Community Library is located at 130 Black Bridge Road.
