Robert Severt Larson

Robert Severt Larson, 89, co-founder of the Red Rock News, died March 24.
A second-generation newspaper publisher, he served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. Moving to Sedona in 1963, he and his wife published three newspapers in Northern Arizona: the Sedona Red Rock News, The Camp Verde Journal and the Cottonwood Journal Extra.
He is survived by his wife Loretta; sons Bob [Vicki], Tom [Pam] and Jerry; daughter Elizabeth [Pat] Schweiss; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A private family service is planned. Donations are suggested to a Sedona or Verde Valley charitable organization of choice.
