Urias Thompson Jr., 69, of Cottonwood, died Feb. 24.
He was born Feb. 9, 1947 in Hazard, Ky.
He is survived by his children Eddie Bennet, Katie Hodgson, Brenda Sander, and Lorie Socash; his brothers Charles Gray and Carlo Thompson; sister Maudie Lane; 15 nieces and nephews; more than 23 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A public celebration of his life will be held Sunday, March 13, at noon at Riverfront Park.
