Bank burglar photo released

Cottonwood Police Department is asking the public’s help regarding two different cases it is currently working. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cottonwood Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (928) 634-4246 or Yavapai Silent Witness at (800) 932-3232.

On Oct. 24 at about 11:43 p.m., Cottonwood police responded to call of a vehicle fire in the area of East Aspen and S. 15th Street. The vehicle in question sustained moderate damage to the front driver’s side window and hood and the driver’s side bumper. It appeared that gasoline had been poured over the vehicle prior to it getting caught on fire. Cottonwood Police have exhausted leads in this case and are asking the public to call if anyone has any information pertaining to who may have set the fire. The car that is suspected to have been the target of arson.

Cottonwood police are also still seeking the public’s help in identifying who may have been involved in the Bank of America burglary on Jan. 27. Information has been obtained that a white sedan was seen in the area during the time of the initial alarm call at 1 a.m. A $10,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of anyone involved in the burglary. A new surveillance photo is being released showing the suspect leaving the bank and walking toward Safeway at about 4:25 a.m. after leaving the bank. Anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area during this time or who may have seen someone matching the description of the suspect seen on the photo is encouraged to call.
