The Town of Camp Verde is in the process of planning its budget for the next fiscal year, which starts July 1.
As part of the process, the town’s Public Works Department has outlined projects it would like to undertake.
One project will require an estimated $100,000 to replace the roof of the town-owned gymnasium off of Hollamon Street.
The gym used to be the high school gym before the old school buildings became the town government complex.
“Replacement of the gymnasium roof is necessary,” according to a report from the Public Works Department. “The age, poor condition and storm events cause repeated damage requiring repairs and patching to stop leaks.”
A new roof would last at least 40 years.
