The Town of Camp Verde streets division finished up repairs around the cattle guard on Middle Verde Road as well as grading work along part of the road. Other grading was done on Old Highway 279 and Newton Lane.
The town also reported that a bus stop near Homestead Parkway is already in place, while a second one near the Outpost Mall on Finnie Flat Road is in the works, along with minor drainage improvements to the area.
The Town of Camp Verde recently released monthly updates of town departments.
The Camp Verde Marshal’s Office answered nearly the same number of calls last month as it did over April 2013.
The marshal’s office is also looking, along with other town departments, for its budget to be determined for the coming year.
The office responded to 314 calls for the month. The majority of those calls were traffic stops, which showed a slight increase over the stops made the previous April.
Deputies conducted 244 traffic stops last month, up from 229 in April 2014.
There were no reported residential burglaries in April.
There were eight reported incidents that resulted in criminal damage, down from 11, and 18 reports of domestic violence, a decrease of one from April 2014.
The Camp Verde Animal Control Department, which works as part of the CVMO, answered 42 calls for the month, down from 51 over the same period last year.
