Kessel’s lights up for last year

Published:

On a back residential street in Cornville, a local family has been putting on a spectacular holiday light and music show.

It’s one of the best-kept open holiday secrets in the Verde Valley that draws crowds throughout the season.

Now it’s about to end for good, at least as far as the current Cornville location off of Gloria Lane.

The Kessel house has been hosting its annual show, delighting those who come to see the display of choreographed blinking lights and music.

It’s still running through the end of the month, with two shows a night. The last viewing is on New Year’s Eve.
That’s pretty much how it’s been for the past several years but this year is the last, said Dave Kessel, the man s responsible for putting the spectacle together.

“It’s been 10 or 11 years, depending on whom you ask,” Kessel said.
