Beery, Wesbrock send Mingus sports in new directions

As fall leads into winter, the Mingus Union High School swimmers will lead into a boys basketball team with one strong element in common — a new head coach.

Gretchen Wesbrock, a youth mentor and trainer with the Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District, was hired as new Marauders swimming coach, while ex-Grand Canyon High School head boys basketball coach David Beery became the new leader of the Marauders boys basketball team after his official hire Tuesday, May 27.
