With Mingus Union High School on the verge of Senior Day for its sixth-ranked baseball team and a Division II state softball tournament berth, memories are made of these moments.

For the seven seniors under head baseball coach Bob Young, their favorite memory was made by one of their own — first baseman Tyler Bond, whose walk-off grand slam beat Coconino High School, ranked eighth in Division II, 14-10 on Friday, April 25.

“That was just amazing,” Bond’s backup, Jonah King, said. “I have never seen such a dramatic comeback.”
