Cowboys honor Dickey, prep for state playoffs

Published:

The diamonds of Camp Verde High School get rough for the final time this spring Wednesday, April 30, at 3:45 p.m. when the Cowboys baseball team holds its Senior Day against Valley Christian High School.

For head coach Will Davis’ boys, it represents a chance to honor lone senior Tyler Dickey and reflect on the toils of a tough five-win season with a Division III, Section IV record of 2-8 to show for it. For head coach Henry Smith’s girls, after a Monday, April 28, regular season-ender at Monument Valley High School, the real season will be poised to begin.
