Rainbow Acres, a home for more than 90 adults with developmental disabilities affectionately referred to as ranchers, has been awarded a grant to help defray the costs of supplies for their Fine Arts Painting class.
The grant was awarded by the Arizona Commission on the Arts, said spokeswoman Margie Beach, but Rainbow Acres isn’t sure exactly how much they’ve gotten.
“We haven’t gotten a check yet, so I’d hate to say,” Beach said.
The arts program is just one of many activities offered to the residents at Rainbow Acres, founded in the 1970s and continuing to grow.
