Made in Clarkdale kicked off its annual art show last week, showcasing local talent and celebrating the arts in general.
“It’s going well,” Made in Clarkdale Chairman Greg Jiede said. “[Attendance] is at about 20 percent what it was last year.”
Made in Clarkdale started back in 1986 as an art show with 17 participating artists, created by Ellie Bauer and initially an effort to fund the Clarkdale Chamber of Commerce’s newsletter.
The event has since grown by leaps and bounds. This year, the annual show features more than 50 artists displaying their works.
Currently, the group claims more than 90 artists as members.
