Hospital recognized for quality, patient safety

Something’s going on at Verde Valley Medical Center, and it brought the hospital into the spotlight during a recent American Hospital Association event in Washington, D.C.

VVMC Chief Medical Officer Dr. Harry Alberti attended the association’s Jan. 24 event where it highlighted the success of hospitals with regard to quality and patient safety.

“We’re a small hospital and people think all these good things only happen in big hospitals,” Alberti said. “It’s pretty nice to get recognized that we’re doing these things.”
