A Camp Verde basketball star is set to continue her basketball career at the collegiate level.
Amanda Showers, a three-sport Camp Verde High School senior, signed her letter of intent Jan. 17 to be the newest Firestorm athlete at Arizona Christian University.
The Arizona Christian University basketball program started looking at Showers her junior year at one of the tournaments and contacted her about a scholarship to play basketball after volleyball season this year.
