The Mingus Union High School swim team faced some tough competition at its second of three home meets, but swimmers still have their eyes on qualifying for state.
The Marauders went up against the Prescott High School Badgers on Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Cottonwood Aquatics Center.
“The kids swam really well against some very tough competition and looked to be progressing well as we gear up for our first State Qualifying meet,” Head Coach Brendon Kenney said.
Girls
The girls team came out with a demanding victory, earning 120 points over the Badgers, who earned 59 points. The boys had a tougher time in the pool, earning 54 points while the Badgers took the win with 116 points.
