There will be no election for candidates running for seats on the Mingus Union High School District Governing Board following measures taken by the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors at a special Friday, Sept. 14, meeting.
Originally there were four candidates running for three open seats on the school board, the winners to be decided in the November general election.
On Friday, that’s exactly what they did.
The remaining three candidates, newcomers Anthony Lozano and Robb Williams, along with incumbent Brenda Zenan, will be directly appointed to full four-year terms office.
“They will be sworn in in January,” said Robin Bascom with the Yavapai County Education Service Agency.
