When Scott Mascher became sheriff of Yavapai County in 2011 and started speaking to members of the community, he thought the biggest concerns would be crimes like theft and vandalism.
That just wasn’t the case.
“Traffic, speeders and animal problems,” Mascher said, “those are always the big issues.”
Mascher was speaking to a large group of Beaver Creek and Lake Montezuma residents Saturday, March 17, who gathered at the Beaver Creek Adult Center.
